Model:           Mistras Express8 Micro-II
Room:           Smart Infrastructure and Construction Lab (G-24)
Reference:    LE-116

Description: Acoustic Emission is a Non-destructive technique that does not require external excitation. During acquisition an AE system records the response of the element under evaluation. The AE system can be used for structures in operation or under load testing, to collect information on growing defects by monitoring changes in the materials’ response.

Key Features:

  • PCI Express AE system on an 8-channel card, 10 MSample/sec A/D
  • Four channel parametric cable
  • Software post-processing and acquisition with 2D planar and 3D location capability
  • 8 R6I-AST sensors (60 kHz) with integral pre-amplifier
