CSIC is launching a new series of short, discussion-inviting articles – the Smart Infrastructure Blog. The informative and thought-provoking blogs will be written by members of the CSIC team, partners and industry experts to showcase opinions and ideas from the forefront of smart infrastructure and construction.

On 11th December, the Civil Engineering and National Research Facility for Infrastructure Sensing (NRFIS) Support Team was awarded the University of Cambridge Professional Services Recognition Award. The annual scheme is open to all administrative staff across the University whose work supports research, teaching and scholarship. It celebrates the very best administrative and technical work across the University.

Academics and researchers from the Department of Engineering welcomed The Duke of York when he visited the UK Collaboratorium for Research on Infrastructure and Cities (UKCRIC) National Research Facility for Infrastructure Sensing (NRFIS) at the new Civil Engineering Building, on the West Site of the University of Cambridge, on 29 October.
